Nifty Slurm
Slurm for HPC clusters: see your jobs, cancel, hold or open their output, submit batch scripts, and get completion, docs and checks for #SBATCH directives. Works over Remote SSH.
Maintained. No sign-in. No telemetry. Works in VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, VSCodium and other editors that use Open VSX.
Features

- Your jobs at a glance. The Slurm view lists your jobs from
squeue: state, elapsed time and limit, partition, and why pending jobs are waiting. It refreshes every 30 seconds while it's visible, and the status bar counts running and pending jobs.
- Act on jobs. Open a job's output file (the
%j/%x/%A_%a pattern is worked out for you, and the file updates as the job writes), hold a pending job or release a held one, or cancel it, all from the list.
- Submit from the editor. The rocket button on a batch script (
.sh, .slurm, .sbatch), or Submit Batch Script in the Explorer, runs sbatch in the script's folder and shows the new job.
- #SBATCH directives, understood. Type
#SBATCH to get every sbatch option with its argument and a description. After --partition= you get your cluster's partitions (from sinfo). Hover an option for its docs.
- Mistakes caught before you submit. Unknown options, missing values, time limits Slurm won't accept (
--time=forever) and bad memory sizes are marked in the script.
- Made for Remote SSH. Install it on the cluster side of a Remote SSH connection to the login node, and it runs the Slurm commands there.
