Features
- See your packages at a glance. Manage NuGet Packages (or right-click a
.csproj) lists every package with its version, and marks updates as patch, minor or major and packages with known vulnerabilities (⚠).
- Add packages. Search nuget.org (verified publishers are marked, with download counts), then pick the latest or a specific version.
- Update with care. Update one package, or all of them; Update all lets you skip major versions that might break your build.
- Remove packages with one click.
- Security check. Check for Vulnerable Packages scans direct and transitive dependencies against NuGet's advisory database and opens a report with links.
- Real projects. Works with C#, F# and VB projects, multi-targeting, and Central Package Management (
Directory.Packages.props).
- Works everywhere. Built on the official
dotnet CLI, so it works in Cursor and other editors that can't use Microsoft's C# Dev Kit, and over SSH or in containers.

Requirements
The .NET SDK 7 or newer, on your PATH or in a standard location, or set nifty.nuget.dotnetPath.

Install
- VS Code: search for "Nifty NuGet" in the Extensions view, or install from the Visual Studio Marketplace.
- Cursor, Windsurf, VSCodium, Kiro, Antigravity: install from Open VSX.
Privacy
This extension collects no telemetry and needs no account. It contacts nuget.org to search and to check for updates and vulnerabilities, and turns off the .NET CLI's own telemetry for every command it runs.
