Graal Development Kit for Micronaut Extension Pack

Graal Development Kit for Micronaut Extension Pack is a collection of extensions that help you create, build, and deploy Graal Development Kit for Micronaut (GDK) applications.

The Graal Development Kit for Micronaut Extension Pack bundles the Graal Development Kit for Micronaut Launcher, OCI DevOps Tools, Tools for Micronaut® framework, and Launch for Micronaut® framework extensions.

Graal Development Kit for Micronaut Support

The extension pack bundles support for GDK applications. In particular:

1. Integrated GDK and Micronaut project creation wizards.
2. Support for the core Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services in VS Code including: Object Storage, Authentication; Secret Management, Streaming, and so on.
3. Tools to support Micronaut application development.
   • YAML files code completion.
   • Database development support.
   • Code templates.
   • Micronaut REST Explorer.
   • Support for the Micronaut Control Panel.
   • JDBC drivers for the following databases:
     • Oracle Database.
     • MySQL.

OCI DevOps Services Support

The extension pack also bundles support for using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's DevOps service, offering:

1. Source code management in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
2. Cloud-based build pipelines for JVM and GraalVM Native Image based containers.
3. Deployment pipelines for Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE).

Extensions Included

• Graal Development Kit for Micronaut Launcher — an extension that provides a launcher for GDK projects.
• OCI DevOps Tools — an extension that provides support for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s DevOps service in VS Code with the creation of build and deployment pipelines along with source code management that makes it easy to transition from local development to cloud-based development and deployment.
• Launch for Micronaut® framework — an extension that provides a launcher for Micronaut projects.
• Tools for Micronaut® framework — an extension that provides Micronaut and GDK project support and delivers JDBC drivers supported by Oracle GDK.
