Nifty Git Graph
See your git history as a graph: branches, merges and tags, commit details and diffs, and checkout, merge, rebase, cherry-pick and more from a right-click. No sign-in.
Maintained. No sign-in. No telemetry. Works in VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, VSCodium and other editors that use Open VSX.
Features

- Your whole history at a glance. Every branch, remote branch, tag and the latest stash in one graph, with merges and branch points drawn as lines. Uncommitted changes appear as a dashed row on top.
- Commit details inline. Click a commit for its full message, author and committer, parents and the files it changed (with
+/− line counts). Click a file to open its diff.
- Do it from the graph. Right-click a commit to check it out, create a branch or tag there, merge it, rebase onto it, cherry-pick, revert or reset to it. Right-click a branch or tag badge to check out, rename, push, merge, rebase or delete it. Double-click a branch to check it out.
- Safe by default. Destructive actions (hard reset, deleting unmerged branches, deleting remote branches, rebasing) ask first and say what will happen.
- Find anything. Search by message, author, hash or branch name; press Enter to jump between matches. Filter the graph to a single branch.
- Always current. The graph refreshes by itself after you commit, check out, pull or fetch, from VS Code or a terminal. Fetch updates all remotes.
- Fast on big repositories. Commits load in pages (300 by default) with Load more.
- Free, with no account. No sign-in, no telemetry, nothing sent anywhere. Works in VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf and VSCodium.
Open it with Ctrl+Alt+G (Cmd+Alt+G on Mac), the Git Graph button in the status bar, or the graph icon in the Source Control view.
