Semantic Highlighting, Syntax Highlighting

Semantic highlighting enables more specificity by emphasizing the semantic meaning or role of code elements.

If you want to use Semantic Highlighting, ensure that it is enabled to use:

  1. Press Cmd + ,
  2. Type Semantic Highlighting
  3. configuredByTheme should be the default. Enable this setting if not.

Syntax highlighting dictates the color scheme and formatting of source code. It can aid in recognizing language constructs.

NOTE: Semantic highlighting will take precedence over syntax highlighting. If this is not desired, you can set it to false.

Enjoy!
