📦 Installation

From VS Code Marketplace

  1. Open VS Code
  2. Go to Extensions (Ctrl+Shift+X)
  3. Search for "NestJS Dashboard"
  4. Click Install

Manual Installation

  1. Download the .vsix file from releases
  2. Open VS Code
  3. Run Extensions: Install from VSIX... from the Command Palette
  4. Select the downloaded .vsix file

🚀 Usage

Getting Started

  1. Open any NestJS project in VS Code
  2. Look for the NestJS Dashboard icon in the Activity Bar (left sidebar)
  3. Click to open the dashboard panel
  4. Your API endpoints will automatically appear under "API Endpoints"
  5. Your TypeORM entities will automatically appear under "Entities"
  6. Configure GitHub Copilot in the "GitHub Copilot" panel for AI-powered features

Test Generation

  1. For Individual Endpoints: Click the beaker icon (🧪) next to any endpoint
  2. For Entire Controllers: Click the beaker icon next to any controller name
  3. Configure AI Model: Use the GitHub Copilot panel to select your preferred model
  4. Review Generated Tests: Tests are created in appropriate test directories with proper structure

Statistics Dashboard

  1. Click the graph icon in the API Endpoints panel header
  2. View interactive charts showing your API structure
  3. Analyze endpoint distribution and controller patterns
  4. Export statistics for documentation or reporting

Monorepo Management

  1. Automatic Detection: The extension automatically detects monorepo structures
  2. App Selection: Use the folder icon to switch between different apps
  3. Toggle Mode: Enable/disable monorepo mode as needed
  4. Unified View: See all endpoints across multiple applications

🐛 Known Issues

  • Large projects (500+ endpoints) may experience slower initial parsing
  • GitHub Copilot features require the GitHub Copilot extension to be installed and configured
  • Some complex monorepo structures may need manual app selection
  • Dynamic route parameters in complex inheritance scenarios might not be fully resolved
