Markdown Path Converter

A Visual Studio Code extension that helps you convert image paths in Markdown files between relative and absolute paths.

Installation

You can install this extension in several ways:

1. From VS Code Marketplace:

   • Open VS Code
   • Go to Extensions (Ctrl+Shift+X)
   • Search for "Markdown Path Converter"
   • Click Install

2. From VSIX file:

   • Download the .vsix file from the releases
   • Open VS Code
   • Press Ctrl+Shift+P
   • Type "Install from VSIX" and select it
   • Choose the downloaded .vsix file

Usage

1. Open a Markdown file in VS Code
2. Select the text containing image references
3. Right-click to open the context menu
4. Choose either:
   • "Convert to Absolute Path" to convert relative paths to absolute paths
   • "Convert to Relative Path" to convert absolute paths to relative paths

Example:

Before (relative path):

Requirements

• Visual Studio Code 1.74.0 or higher
• A workspace folder must be opened

Extension Settings

This extension doesn't require any additional settings.

Known Issues

• File existence checking is only performed for absolute path conversion
• Network images (http/https URLs) are not processed
