Rytora Code — Updater

Auto-update infrastructure for the Rytora Code suite. Stable, beta, and nightly channels.

Part of the Rytora Code suite — install Rytora Code to get the full toolkit (Composer, Tab autocomplete, Cmd+K, Codebase Indexing, Publish, and more).

What it does

Keeps every extension in the Rytora Code suite up to date. Checks for new versions on the schedule you set, downloads in the background, and prompts you when a restart is needed.

Capabilities

Three channels — Pick stable (default), beta, or nightly based on how much new-feature exposure you want.
Background download — Updates pre-download silently. You only see a notification when the new version is ready to activate.
Restart on your terms — Never forces a restart. Tells you when one is required and lets you trigger it when convenient.
Changelog viewer — One click opens the changelog for the version that just installed.

Configuration

rytora-code.updates.channel — stable (default), beta, or nightly
rytora-code.updates.autoCheck — Check periodically (default: true)
rytora-code.updates.autoDownload — Download in the background (default: true)
rytora-code.updates.checkIntervalHours — How often to check (default: 4)

Getting started

Install Rytora Code (recommended) or this standalone extension.
Updates are checked automatically on the default schedule. No setup needed.
To check on demand: Command Palette → Rytora: Check for Updates.
