What This Extension Does
The Lynxbe AI extension brings the full power of the platform into VS Code:
- AI Chat — Real-time conversations with the Lynxbe AI Orchestrator in a sidebar panel. Ask about any of the 35 modules, get integration code, and apply it directly to your files.
- Multi-Provider AI — Routes intelligently to GPT-4o, Claude, Gemini, and more based on task requirements. Select your preferred provider and model.
- Workspace Context — Optionally share your active file, selection, and open files with the AI for contextual, precise answers.
- Code Actions — Apply AI-generated code to files, insert at cursor, copy to clipboard, or run shell commands — all from the chat panel.
- Action Proposals — Review, approve, and execute AI-generated actions (create CRM contacts, send WhatsApp messages, generate invoices) from within VS Code.
- Slash Commands —
/status, /scan, /search, /endpoints, /doctrine, /modules, /knowledge, /semantic, /handoff, /mcp-tools.
- Ask About Selection — Highlight code and ask the AI to explain, review, refactor, or improve it.
How It Works
- Open the Lynxbe AI sidebar — Click the Lynxbe icon in the VS Code Activity Bar. Sign in with your Lynxbe account to access all 35 platform modules.
- Ask about anything — Ask about any module, your code, or both. The AI understands your workspace context — open files, selections, and project structure.
- Apply, insert, or run — Get code suggestions with one-click actions. Apply code to files, insert at cursor, or run terminal commands — all without leaving the editor.
Capabilities
- Apply & Insert Code — One-click code application. Choose a target file, replace selections, or insert at cursor — the AI writes, you approve.
- Terminal Integration — Run shell commands directly from AI suggestions. Bash, npm, git — execute in a dedicated Lynxbe AI terminal.
- File Explorer Actions — Right-click any file to ask about it or generate code for it. The AI reads the file content and gives contextual suggestions.
- Workspace Context — Opt-in workspace awareness. The AI sees your folder structure, open files, active editor, and selected code for precise answers.
- Multi-Provider AI — Powered by the Lynxbe AI Orchestrator. Routes to GPT-4o, Claude, Gemini, and more based on task requirements.
- Platform Connected — All 35 modules at your fingertips. Generate API calls, integration code, and automation flows for any Lynxbe service.

Getting Started
- Install the extension from the VS Code Marketplace.
- Open the Command Palette (
Ctrl+Shift+P / Cmd+Shift+P) and run Lynxbe AI: Sign In.
- Enter your Lynxbe email and password.
- The Lynxbe AI sidebar panel will appear in the Activity Bar — start chatting.
Requirements
- A Lynxbe account with AI Orchestrator access.
- Internet connectivity to the Lynxbe API (
api.lynxbe.co.il).

Data & Privacy
This extension communicates with the Lynxbe API over HTTPS. When Include Workspace Context is enabled, the following data may be sent with each message:
- Workspace and folder names
- Active file path (relative to workspace)
- List of open file paths
- Selected code (up to 12,000 characters)
- Programming language of the active file
Authentication tokens are stored securely in your operating system's keychain via the VS Code Secret Storage API.
