IOBend Developer Suite for VS Code 🧩

The IOBend Developer Suite VS Code extension integrates the power of the IOBend CLI directly into your editor. It provides rich graphical controls to manage your local projects, environments, secrets, diagnostics, and marketplace extensions.

You can install it directly from the VS Code Marketplace or the open-source Open VSX Registry, or search for IOBend Developer Suite inside your editor's Extensions view (Ctrl+Shift+X / Cmd+Shift+X).

1. Visual Project Explorer

Active Projects: Browse registered local projects in a convenient side view.
Secrets Management: View masked environment variables, add new keys, or remove keys without touching your configuration files manually.
Dependency Auditing: Review project dependencies and update outdated packages to stable with a single click.

2. Security & Architecture Scan

Native Vulnerability Scanning: Run on-demand security scans directly from the sidebar.
Exposed Secrets & CVEs: Instantly view .env leaks and vulnerable NPM dependencies with their associated CVEs.
Compliance Checks: Get localized OWASP and CIS benchmark recommendations natively in the TreeView.
Full HTML Report: Open a rich, dark-mode compatible Webview panel for a full-page breakdown of your workspace architecture and security posture.

3. Doctor Diagnostics & Auto-Fix

System Environment Checks: Real-time detection of system specifications (OS, active RAM, disk space) and compiler configurations.
One-Click Auto-Fix: Automatically trigger package manager installers (winget, brew, apt) to install missing compiler and developer runtimes directly from your sidebar warnings.

3. Marketplace Extension Manager

Package Browsing: Explore templates, database configurations, and Docker wrappers.
Integrity Validation: Automatically perform digital signature verification and SHA256 integrity checks when installing marketplace packages.
Quick Install/Uninstall: Cleanly register and manage marketplace packages in your local environment.

4. Identity & Workspace Context

User Profile: Monitor your subscription plan status, active organization workspaces, and active device details.
Auth Switching: Log in or log out securely using OAuth redirect pathways.

Extension Settings ⚙️

This extension contributes the following settings:

iobend.cliPath: Custom path to the iobend CLI binary (e.g. if it's not available in your global PATH).
iobend.showAllDoctorChecks: Set to true to display all system runtimes and compiler checks (by default, it displays checks relevant to the active project context).

Requirements 📋

Requires Node.js (v18.0.0 or higher).
Requires the IOBend CLI to be installed globally on your machine:
