Instafy for VS Code (Preview)

Bring Instafy Studio into VS Code. Link a folder to a project, run it locally, and copy a tunnel URL to share previews or receive webhooks — without leaving your editor.

Install

  • VS Code Marketplace: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=instafy-dev.instafy-dev
  • Open VSX: https://open-vsx.org/extension/instafy/instafy-dev

Quickstart

  1. Open the command palette.
  2. Open the Instafy sidebar (Studio loads in the Studio view), or run Instafy: Open Studio (Editor) to pop it out.
    • Uses Instafy Cloud by default.
    • For local development, set instafy.controllerBaseUrl (controller API) and instafy.studioBaseUrl (Studio URL, usually http://localhost:5173).
  3. Sign in inside the embedded Studio.
    • Enter your email, then enter the one-time code sent to your inbox.
  4. Run Instafy: Link Workspace to Project.
  5. Run Instafy: Start Desktop Runtime (Self-hosted Tunnel).
  6. Run Instafy: Copy Desktop Tunnel URL (optional).
