About Deuteranopia and this theme

Deuteranopia is a type of red-green color vision deficiency where green cones are absent, making it difficult to distinguish red from green. This theme completely avoids the red-green axis, relying instead on the blue-yellow color axis which deuteranopia users perceive clearly:

• Sky Blue (#56B4E9) - Types, classes, tags, storage types, and language keywords — the primary accent, always visible and vibrant.
• Amber Gold (#E6C07B) - Strings and property values — warm and distinct from blue.
• Violet (#B28BFF) - Control keywords, logical operators, and modifiers — stands apart from both blue and yellow.
• Soft Purple (#D4A0FF) - Numbers, constants, and escape characters — a lighter complement to violet.
• Rose (#CC79A7) - Decorators, generics, and regex — a unique hue far from the red-green confusion zone.
• Yellow-Green (#DCDCAA) - Function names and tag attributes — balanced and easy to spot.
• Deep Navy (#0B1026) - Background — a rich dark base with optional animated stars.

I've created it so that it has:

Installing on Cursor IDE

Cursor is an AI-powered code editor built as a fork of VS Code. While it shares most of VS Code's functionality, it does not include access to the Visual Studio Marketplace — meaning you can't search for or install themes through the Extensions panel the usual way. The built-in theme list is limited to a small set of defaults.

However, because Cursor is based on VS Code, it uses the exact same extension format and folder structure. You can install this theme by dropping the files directly into Cursor's extensions directory.

Both scripts will:

1. Download the latest .vsix release from GitHub
2. Extract it into ~/.cursor/extensions/ (Linux/macOS) or %USERPROFILE%\.cursor\extensions\ (Windows)

After running, restart Cursor and open the theme picker with Ctrl+K Ctrl+T (or Cmd+K Cmd+T on Mac), then select Monokai Deuteranopia Colorblind.
