Configuration

You can configure the path to your ADB executable if it's not in your system PATH.

  1. Open Settings (Cmd+, or Ctrl+,).
  2. Search for adb.path.
  3. Enter the absolute path to your adb executable.
{
  "adb.path": "/Users/username/Library/Android/sdk/platform-tools/adb"
}

Requirements

  • ADB: The Android Debug Bridge command-line tool must be installed.
  • USB Debugging: Must be enabled on your Android device.

Troubleshooting

  • ADB Not Found: If you see an error saying adb: command not found, make sure ADB is installed or configure the adb.path setting (see Configuration).
  • Device Not Showing: Ensure USB debugging is enabled and the device is authorized. Try running adb devices in your terminal.
  • Permission Denied: Some actions (like toggling Mobile Data on newer Android versions) may require root access or specific permissions.
  • Logcat Empty: If filtering by package, ensure the app is running so its PID can be resolved.
