Acturify — VS Code Extension

Bring AI-generated code straight into your local workspace. When your Acturify agents finish a task, pull the output files directly into your project — no copy-paste, no manual download.

What is Acturify?

Acturify is an AI software development platform. You describe what you want to build, and AI agents plan and implement it task by task on a kanban-style board. Tasks move through Todo → In Progress → Review → Done. When you accept a completed run, the generated files are ready to pull.

Two modes:

  • Architect — AI interviews you, designs the architecture, breaks it into tasks, and assigns agents to execute them.
  • Easy Ship — Skip the interview. You define tasks manually, agents handle the code.

What this extension does

Once agents complete work on acturify.com, this extension lets you:

  1. Pull generated files into your local frontend and/or backend folders
  2. Resolve conflicts when AI output differs from your existing code
  3. Map your workspace so Acturify knows your local folder structure
  4. Stay connected via the status bar — see sync state at a glance

Getting started

1. Install and sign in

Open the Acturify panel from the activity bar (left sidebar). Sign in with your Acturify account email and password.

2. Select a project

Your projects load automatically after sign-in. Click a project to activate it. The status bar at the bottom will show Acturify: Connected (your-project).

3. Map your local folders

Run Acturify: Sync Frontend Folder or Acturify: Sync Backend Folder from the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P / Cmd+Shift+P). A folder picker opens — select the local directory for that side of the project.

This sends a file manifest to Acturify so agents understand your existing project structure.

4. Pull completed work

When a task run is accepted on the board, run Acturify: Pull Files. The extension fetches the latest accepted output and writes files into your mapped folders.

Conflict resolution

If a pulled file already exists locally, Acturify asks how to handle it:

Option What happens
Accept All Incoming Overwrites local files with AI output
Keep All Current Skips all conflicting files, keeps your local versions
Resolve Per File Opens a diff view for each conflict — you decide per file

Per-file options:

  • Accept Incoming — use the AI-generated version
  • Keep Current — keep your local version unchanged
  • Keep Both (merge markers) — inserts Git-style conflict markers, opens the file for manual resolution
