The Service Explorer is a VSCode extension from Sinetiq that helps you find service instances and their specifications while developing.

This extension provides

• Find and view approved API specifications
• Find running service instances implementing each API specification
• Call a running service without manual configuration

Download

Download the extension from Visual Studio Marketplace or install it using

code --install-extension sinetiq.service-explorer

Configure API Specification Registry

By default the explorer will try to resolve available API specifications via Sinetiq's global API specification registry at https://service-types.sinetiq.net but this can be changed in the settings to your own hosted registry. If you want to bring your own registry, then you can find the Docker image for the registry on Docker hub.
