Noesa Code for Visual Studio Code

Understand your code, review changes and run tests with Noesa, directly in your editor. Use your existing Noesa account and shared limits. No separate subscription or model-provider key is needed.

Get started

Find Noesa Code by Noesa AI in VS Code Extensions and select Install, or open its Marketplace page.
Open your project folder and select the Noesa icon in the Activity Bar. You can also open the Command Palette and choose Noesa Code: Open chat.
Select Sign in and use your existing Noesa account. Review the project trust and context-sharing prompts.
Create a chat, add a file or selected text, and describe your task. Start with Ask permission to review changes before applying them. Save editor changes before running tests.

What you can do

Ask questions about your project, search files and add relevant code to a conversation.
Review proposed changes in the editor, open changed files and use normal editor Undo. Conflicting edits are checked before changes are applied.
Run commands and tests in Full access mode, then inspect their output and exit code.
Add guidance while a task is working, stop the selected task or check an interrupted result without automatically running it again.

Choose the access you need

Full access	Apply edits and run commands after your explicit consent for the current window session.

Commands and Git require Full access. They run with your computer account's permissions, including access to files outside the project and the network. Full access is not a sandbox; reopening the window requires fresh consent.

Separate chats can work independently. Local work stops when its window closes; reopen the chat and use Check result to see the recorded outcome.

Account, usage and privacy

Your Noesa account and limits are shared with the website and desktop app. VS Code chats have their own history. Signing out of the extension leaves the website and desktop signed in.

The panel shows your shared balance and the latest request's model token usage, measured in Noesa units. That figure excludes earlier requests in the task, web tools and other costs, so it is not the task's total expense. Pending or unavailable amounts are not zero. Stopping a task does not cancel charges for work already performed; the balance can update later as usage is confirmed.

Your task, attached content and relevant code or tool results are sent through Noesa to its model service. Opening a folder alone does not upload the whole project. Keep passwords and other secrets out of messages and attachments. Read the Noesa privacy policy for more information.

Supported environments

Use a local project in desktop VS Code on Windows x64 or macOS Apple Silicon. Linux, Intel Macs, Windows ARM64, remote workspaces and browser VS Code are not supported.
