What is Exclude Manager Pro?
Exclude Manager Pro takes file exclusion management to the next level. It replaces the raw files.exclude entry in settings.json with a rich, fully-featured webview panel in its own Activity Bar tab — giving you a visual, interactive UI with multi-selection, sort controls, pinned sections, virtual groups, live search, scope switching, and a beautiful empty-state experience.
- Toggle any exclusion on/off with a single checkbox click
- Organize patterns into named virtual groups
- Pin critical patterns to the top — always visible
- Live search with instant filtering
- Multi-select with bulk Toggle / Pin / Move / Delete actions
- Sort patterns by Added order, A→Z, or Z→A
- Switch between Global and Workspace scopes via UI tabs
- Contextual empty-state with a one-click Add Pattern button
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) — adapts to your VS Code language
Feature Showcase
Exclude Manager Pro lives in its own Activity Bar icon and opens as a dedicated webview sidebar. The panel is divided into three sections: Pinned, Virtual Groups, and Other Patterns — always clearly organized.
🌐 Scope Tabs (Global / Workspace)
Switch between your User (Global) settings and Workspace settings using the tab buttons at the top of the panel. Both scopes are managed completely independently.
🔍 Live Search & Sort
Type in the search bar to filter patterns in real time. Use the sort button to choose between: Default (Added order), Alphabetical A→Z, or Z→A.

Hold click to select multiple patterns at once. A floating action bar appears with Toggle, Pin, Move, and Delete — apply changes to all selected items in one shot.
📌 Pinned Section
Right-click any pattern and pin it. Pinned patterns are always shown at the very top of the panel in their own dedicated PINNED section, regardless of search or sort state.
📁 Virtual Groups
Create named groups to organize your exclusion patterns logically (e.g., Unity, Node, Build). Each group shows a live N/N counter of enabled patterns.
