Gaussian Viewer

Welcome to Gaussian Viewer, a Visual Studio Code extension that brings the power of the web-based SuperSplat editor directly into your development environment.

Our goal was to create a seamless bridge between your local workspace and SuperSplat's exceptional 3D Gaussian Splat editing capabilities. This extension allows you to view and interact with .ply files without ever leaving VS Code.

🌟 Core Features

  • Direct SuperSplat Integration: Harness the full viewing power of the SuperSplat editor inside a VS Code webview.
  • Effortless File Viewing: Simply click on a .ply, .splat, or .gsplat file to open it instantly.
  • Streamlined Workflow: Eliminate the need to switch between your browser and editor, keeping your focus on your projects.
  • Remote-Ready: Fully compatible with VS Code's Remote SSH, allowing you to work from anywhere.

🙏 Acknowledgments

This extension would not have been possible without the incredible work of the team behind SuperSplat. We are immensely grateful for their open-source contribution to the 3D graphics community.

This project was developed at the Multimedia & Communication Systems Laboratory (MCSL) at Sungkyunkwan University.

Enjoy editing your 3D Gaussian Splats directly in VSCode! 🎉
