Installation

1. Open VS Code
2. Go to the Extensions view (Ctrl+Shift+X or Cmd+Shift+X)
3. Search for "Perplexity AI Assistant"
4. Click Install
5. Reload VS Code when prompted

Usage

1. Click on the Perplexity AI icon in the Activity Bar (sidebar)
2. Click on settings option on the top, and set the api key first.
3. Perplexity api key can be generated for free at https://www.perplexity.ai/account/api/keys
4. Start a new chat session in the dedicated chat view
5. Ask questions
6. View AI responses directly in the chat interface

This extension processes code and queries through Perplexity AI's secure API. Your code privacy is our priority, and all communications are handled with industry-standard security measures. Your api key will not even be known to us.
