NeuralSmith: Making ML Engineering Accessible to All

Upload your dataset and get a production-ready machine learning model fast, simple, and hassle-free.

NeuralSmith is a VS Code extension that helps you build machine learning models directly from your data—no complex setup or deep ML expertise required. Just bring your dataset, and NeuralSmith guides you step by step inside your editor.

At the core of NeuralSmith is the NeuralSmith Copilot, which helps you understand how to use the tool, choose the right workflow, and make the most of your data as you work.

Available Workflows

Based on your data modality, you can use:

  • Image Classification Wizard – for image datasets
  • Tabular Classification Wizard – for classification tasks on CSV or tabular data
  • Tabular Regression Wizard – for regression tasks on tabular data

Each wizard provides a guided, end-to-end experience—from uploading your data to a trained model—entirely within VS Code.

Getting Started

  1. Install NeuralSmith from the VS Code Marketplace
  2. Open it from the Command Palette
  3. Configure your Google Gemini API key
  4. Upload your dataset and start building models

NeuralSmith currently uses Gemini for AI-powered assistance.
Support for additional LLM providers is coming soon.
