Pastel Dreams

Pastel Dreams combines deep, dark VS Code chrome with vibrant accent colors and readable multi-hue pastel syntax.

The collection includes ten themes:

  • Night: Pastel Dreams, Ocean, Forest, Rose, Amber, and Slate.
  • Day: Pastel Dreams, Ocean, Rose, and Mint.

Night themes use tinted dark editors surrounded by rich charcoal chrome. Day themes place a soft pastel editor inside the same balanced dark chrome, keeping the sidebar, activity bar, terminal, command palette, and status bar focused and vibrant without looking blacked out.

Readability

Version 0.2 separates parameters, variables, properties, functions, types, keywords, operators, punctuation, strings, numbers, and comments into distinct colors. Named syntax colors meet a minimum 4.5:1 contrast target against their editor background; invalid tokens intentionally use their own red background.

Versions 0.2.1 and 0.2.2 progressively raise the brightness of the surrounding chrome and dark editor variants for a softer, richer, more colorful appearance.
