Zhihu Reader

Zhihu Reader is a VS Code extension for reading Zhihu content inside VS Code.

What it does

• Login to Zhihu in a real browser window
• Load recommendation feed items in a panel
• Search Zhihu content by keyword
• Expand an item to read article content in-panel
• Expand and collapse comments in-panel

Commands

• Zhihu: Login
• Zhihu: Refresh Recommendations
• Zhihu: Show Recommendations

Quick Start

1. Run Zhihu: Login
2. Complete login in the opened browser and click Done
3. Run Zhihu: Show Recommendations
4. In the panel:

• Click Refresh to reload recommendations
• Use the search box to search by keyword
• Expand an item to view full content and comments

Notes

• You must be logged in to Zhihu before loading content.
• The extension tries to use local Chrome/Edge first. If unavailable, it may ask for Chromium installation.
• Zhihu anti-bot verification may appear; complete verification in browser and continue.
• Zhihu page structure changes may occasionally affect extraction quality.
