Overview

The Workday Developer Extension Pack bundles the two extensions that make up the full Workday Build development experience in your IDE:

• Workday Developer Agent: build and iterate on apps and custom agents using plain language, without leaving your flow of work.
• Workday Toolkit: language support, live app preview, and file icons for Workday Build project files.

Install the pack to get the complete workflow in one step, instead of installing each extension separately. Together, the pack gives you the agent-driven build experience alongside full editing support for the underlying files it generates. See each extension's own listing for its full feature set.

Requirements

• IDE: VS Code, Cursor, Google Antigravity, or any Open VSX compatible IDE.
• Workday Developer Site account with access to your Workday tenant.
• Workday Developer CLI (WDCLI) powers app deployment and Live App Preview.

Installation

Install the pack from your IDE's extension marketplace (VS Code Marketplace or the Open VSX Registry):

1. Open the Extensions view and search for Workday Developer Extension Pack.
2. Install it. This installs both Workday Developer Agent and Workday Toolkit automatically.
3. Reload the window if prompted.
