Write, format, and refactor SQL effortlessly in Visual Studio

SQL Prompt is an extension for Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) to improve your productivity when writing, formatting, and refactoring SQL.

With SQL Prompt you can work up to 50% faster with SQL:

  • Standardize the layout of your SQL code using highly customizable formatting styles to improve readability, quickly identify errors, and more easily make edits without introducing mistakes.
  • Create and share frequently used snippets of SQL to strip away the repetition of coding.
  • Work in SQL Server Management Studio as well as Visual Studio, so you can work wherever you’re most comfortable. Support in SSMS includes tab management so you can save and recover lost tabs, and tab coloring by environment to avoid accidentally executing against Production.
  • Benefit from a host of features to increase productivity. One example is the ability to take data from the Results Grid and choose to ‘Copy as an IN clause’, ‘Script as an INSERT statement’, or ‘Open results in Excel’, at the click of a button.

“It saves huge amounts of time, boosts productivity, enforces common layout and coding standards, and means I can focus fully on the task in hand.” - Jerry Pett, Director, Burnt Orange Designs
