VERA Code for VS Code and Cursor

VERA is your agent team in the editor. Describe an outcome. VERA plans it, her team builds it on a branch in parallel, the tests run, a reviewer checks the work, and you get one pull request.

Getting started

  1. Install the extension. Everything VERA needs comes with it.
  2. Open VERA from the activity bar, or press Ctrl+Alt+V (Cmd+Alt+V on macOS).
  3. Pick a model and say what you want built.

VERA runs on your own models: bring the API key for the provider you use and she asks for it the first time.

In the panel

  • Build, Plan or Team: build it now, plan it first, or hand it to the whole team.
  • @ files: add a file from your workspace to the conversation.
  • / commands: the same commands as the VERA CLI.
  • Images: attach a screenshot or a design and VERA looks at it.

Commands

Command What it does
VERA: Open Opens the VERA panel
VERA: New conversation Starts again with a fresh engine
VERA: Stop Stops what VERA is doing

Settings

  • vera.command: leave empty to use the engine that comes with the extension. Set it (for example to vera) to run your own installed VERA CLI instead.
