UpGates Template Editor VS Code integration
Description
Manage templates for eCommerce solution with your favorite VS Code.
Features
- Download project files from a specified API URL.
- Save downloaded files as a template for future projects.

Requirements
- Visual Studio Code v1.60.0 or higher.
- Node.js and npm installed.
Usage
Download Project and Create Template
- Create empty project folder.
- Enter project folder.
- Run vscode in folder by
code .
- Open the Command Palette (
Ctrl+Shift+P ).
- Run the command
Create Project From UpGates API .
- Enter the required API credentials (URL, Username, Password).
- The project files will be downloaded and saved as a template.
Create Backup by UpGates API
- Open the Command Palette (
Ctrl+Shift+P ).
- Run the command
Create Backup of Project by UpGates API .
Deploy File
- Right-click on the file you want to deploy in the Explorer panel.
- Select
Deploy File to Upgates API .
- The file will be uploaded to the specified API.
Download Folder
- Right-click on the folder you want to download in the Explorer panel.
- Select
Download Folder from Upgates API .
- The contents of the folder will be downloaded from the specified API.
Download File
- Right-click on the file you want to download in the Explorer panel.
- Select
Download File from Upgates API .
- The file will be downloaded from the specified API.
Deploy Folder
- Right-click on the folder you want to deploy in the Explorer panel.
- Select
Deploy Folder to Upgates API .
- The contents of the folder will be uploaded to the specified API.
Create Folder
- Right-click on the location in the Explorer panel where you want to create a new folder.
- Select
Create Folder on Upgates API .
- Enter the name of the new folder.
- The folder will be created both locally and on the specified API.
Create File
- Right-click on the location in the Explorer panel where you want to create a new file.
- Select
Create File on Upgates API .
- Enter the name of the new file.
- The file will be created both locally and on the specified API.
Installation
From the Marketplace
- Go to the Visual Studio Code Marketplace.
- Search for
UpGates IDE .
- Click
Install .
From a VSIX File
- Download the
.vsix file from the releases page.
- Open the Extensions view in Visual Studio Code (
Ctrl+Shift+X ).
- Click on the three-dot menu in the Extensions view.
- Select
Install from VSIX... .
- Choose the downloaded
.vsix file.
