WhipMyAI

The #1 performance-enhancing tool for developers who type too slow.

Clinical studies* show that developers who hear a whip crack after sending a prompt write up to 0% more code than those who don't. And yet, it feels incredible.

WhipMyAI is an acoustic productivity accelerator built for the modern AI-assisted developer. Every time you submit a prompt in VS Code Chat, a high-fidelity whip crack confirms that you are, in fact, in charge here.

*Studies not conducted. Results not representative. No developers were harmed.

Key performance metrics

Metric Before WhipMyAI After WhipMyAI
Perceived typing speed Sluggish Furious
Confidence when prompting Low Unhinged
Feeling of control over AI 0% Still 0%, but louder
Dopamine per keypress Baseline Elevated

How it works

The science is simple:

  1. You type a prompt.
  2. You press Enter to submit.
  3. A whip crack plays.
  4. Your brain releases a small amount of serotonin.
  5. You type the next prompt faster.
  6. Repeat until you ship.

Shift / Ctrl / Cmd + Enter → silence. That's for adding a new line. No crack for new lines. You have to earn the crack.

Usage

Install. That's it. No configuration. No onboarding flow. No "welcome" tab.

To mute/unmute: Cmd+Shift+P → WhipMyAI: Toggle on/off

Requirements

  • macOS (uses the built-in afplay command — zero dependencies, zero permissions, zero excuses)
  • A chat extension to unleash yourself upon
  • A healthy relationship with audio feedback
