Chat with UiPath Autopilot — an AI agent for automation — without leaving your editor. Autopilot designs RPA automations, authors workflows, builds UI automation and automated tests, and orchestrates the UiPath platform, backed by the same engine that powers Autopilot in Studio Web and Studio Desktop.

Getting started

Install the extension and open the UiPath Autopilot view from the Activity Bar.
Run UiPath Autopilot: Sign In (or click Sign in in the panel) and authenticate with your UiPath account.
Start chatting — ask Autopilot to build a workflow, automate a task, or explain your project.

Requirements

A UiPath account — sign-in is required to chat.
VS Code 1.120 or newer.

Commands

Command	What it does
`UiPath Autopilot: Open`	Focus the Autopilot chat view
`UiPath Autopilot: Sign In`	Sign in with your UiPath account
`UiPath Autopilot: Sign Out`	Sign out and end the session

Data & privacy

To answer you, Autopilot sends your chat messages and the workspace context you share to the UiPath Autopilot service. See the UiPath Trust and Security center for how your data is handled.
