Vscode extention for TrussedAI controller

Description

Trussed Code Provenance scans the code in your editor against more than 800 million open source repositories to identify where it came from and what license governs it. As AI coding assistants generate more of your codebase, they can pull in code carrying copyleft or restrictive licenses that create real IP and compliance exposure, often without anyone realizing it. This extension surfaces that risk directly in VS Code, so you catch licensing conflicts at the moment code is written rather than during an audit, a security review, or an acquisition.

Why it matters:

AI-generated code frequently reproduces snippets from open source projects whose licenses can be incompatible with your project. A single GPL-licensed fragment in a proprietary codebase can create legal and commercial conflict. Code Provenance gives your developers immediate visibility into the license and origin of the code they’re accepting, so licensing problems get resolved before they become embedded in production.

Part of the Trussed Controller platform:

Code Provenance is one capability of the Trussed AI Controller, the governance and assurance layer for enterprise AI. The same platform inspects prompts and responses, governs agent and MCP tool traffic, and generates audit evidence across every surface where AI touches your organization.
