Installation

In VS Code 1.119.0 or later, open Extensions, search for Touba Language Toolkit from the Publisher touba, and select Install.

Or install from the command line:

code --install-extension touba.touba-tools

VS Code selects the package for your platform: macOS Apple Silicon, macOS Intel, Linux x64 or Windows x64. Compiler-backed editor features work out of the box. Install the Touba CLI to run programs and use Touba from a terminal.

For offline installation, choose Extensions → … → Install from VSIX… and select the archive for your platform (darwin-arm64, darwin-x64, linux-x64 or win32-x64).

Working with Touba

Open a .tb file to start editing. The Command Palette provides Touba commands to run the current file, inspect artifacts, render traces and view architecture. Use Touba: Check CLI to check your installation.

The extension finds touba on PATH or in $HOME/.touba/bin. Set TOUBA_CLI_PATH to use a specific installation. Open your project folder to navigate between execution traces and source files.

Connect your application through the JavaScript or Python SDK.
