Topp Five for VS Code

The Topp Five AI coding agent, right in your editor. Chat with your agent, watch it propose changes as reviewable diffs, and let it work across your project with the full power of your Topp Five workspace: your NetSuite index, connected tools, and integrations all come along.

The agent loop, file edits, and terminal commands run on your machine, so long tasks don't stall on a network round-trip.

What you can do

  • Chat with your coding agent without leaving VS Code. Ask about your project, plan changes, and have the agent make them.
  • Review every edit as a diff. Proposed changes open in VS Code's diff view. Accept or reject each one, or accept them all at once. Nothing is written until you approve it.
  • Work across many files with checkpoints, @-mentions, subagents, terminal and browser control, and inline autocomplete.
  • Approve ERP writes safely. When the agent needs to act in NetSuite or another connected system (for example, deploying a SuiteScript), it shows a confirmation card so you can review before anything happens. Writes are never performed locally — they execute in the Topp Five cloud only after you approve.
  • Bring your whole workspace. Because it is powered by the Topp Five cloud agent, it already knows your NetSuite data, connected tools, and integrations. There is nothing extra to configure.
  • Pick your model and stop a run whenever you want. Usage is metered against your plan, so there is no separate API key to manage.
  • Bring your own key (optional). Press Cmd+Shift+B (macOS) or Ctrl+Shift+B (Windows/Linux) to store a Tokenless key. That traffic goes straight to Tokenless on your key and is never metered by Topp Five.
  • Pick up on the web. Coding sessions appear in your Topp Five dashboard alongside your chat conversations.

Getting started

  1. Install the extension.
  2. Open the Topp Five panel from the activity bar (the Topp Five icon).
  3. Run Topp Five: Sign In (or click Sign In in the panel). Your browser opens, you approve, and you are connected. There is nothing to copy or paste.
  4. Pick a model and start chatting. Ask the agent to explain code, make a change, run your tests, or work with your NetSuite data.

You need a Topp Five account. If you do not have one yet, sign up at toppfive.net.

Handy shortcuts

Privacy and data

Model requests are routed through Topp Five's gateway so usage can be billed to your account; provider API keys stay server-side and are never sent to your machine. When you use your own Tokenless key, those requests bypass our gateway entirely and we see none of that traffic.

Credentials for your connected systems never leave the Topp Five cloud — this extension holds only your session token.
