Topp Five for VS Code

The Topp Five AI coding agent, right in your editor. Chat with your agent, watch it propose changes as reviewable diffs, and let it work across your project with the full power of your Topp Five workspace: your NetSuite index, connected tools, and integrations all come along.

What you can do

  • Chat with your coding agent without leaving VS Code. Ask about your project, plan changes, and have the agent make them.
  • Review every edit as a diff. Proposed changes open in VS Code's diff view. Accept or reject each one, or accept them all at once. Nothing is written until you approve it.
  • Approve ERP writes safely. When the agent needs to act in NetSuite or another connected system (for example, deploying a SuiteScript), it shows a confirmation card so you can review before anything happens.
  • Bring your whole workspace. Because it is powered by the Topp Five cloud agent, it already knows your NetSuite data, connected tools, and integrations. There is nothing extra to configure.
  • Pick your model and stop a run whenever you want.

Getting started

  1. Install the extension.
  2. Open the Topp Five panel from the activity bar (the Topp Five icon).
  3. Run Topp Five: Sign In (or click Sign In in the panel). Your browser opens, you approve, and you are connected. There is nothing to copy or paste.
  4. Start chatting. Ask the agent to explain code, make a change, run your tests, or work with your NetSuite data.

You need a Topp Five account. If you do not have one yet, sign up at toppfive.net.

Handy shortcuts

  • Select code, right-click, and choose Add Selection to Chat, Explain Code, or Fix Code.
  • Add selection to chat: Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+A
  • Focus the chat input: Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+I
  • Use New Chat in the panel title bar to start fresh, Stop to interrupt a run, and Open in Editor Tab for a wider view.
