VSCode Speech-to-Code Extension

Overview

Speech-to-Code enables developers to control Visual Studio Code using voice commands. This extension uses Google Cloud Speech-to-Text API, node-record-lpcm16 and OpenAI to convert spoken language into commands, enhancing productivity and accessibility.

Installation

• Ensure you have a microphone.
• Obtain an API key from Google Cloud for the Speech-to-Text API.
• Obtain an API key from OpenAI API.
• Create 2 environment variables to store your API keys
• Install SoX version 14.4.1 and add it to your $PATH
• Install the extension and run the command Speech to Code: Start Voice Recording
