Your API keys stay on your machine. API Proxy Bridge never uploads your apiKey, tokens or credentials to any API Proxy Bridge server — configuration lives only in your local IDE settings / secret storage. The bridge proxies requests directly between your IDE and your own OpenAI-compatible endpoint: no key logging, no secret telemetry. It may send one anonymous daily heartbeat (random install ID, Free/Pro, IDE host, version, and whether a request was made) to the official license server so we can measure real usage.

Quick start (3 steps)
- Install the extension.
- Open API Proxy Bridge in the activity bar → enter
Base URL, API Key, Model.
- Pick API Proxy Bridge in your IDE's model/agent picker and chat.
IDE integration
- Kiro IDE: configure in the panel, then select the model in the Kiro picker.
- Kiro CLI: certificate/hosts takeover is not included in marketplace builds.
- Devin / Windsurf: run
install-start-devin-acp.ps1, then pick API Proxy Bridge in the Cascade Agent Picker.
- Cursor: run
install-start-cursor.ps1 (installs VSIX + host setup), then pick API Proxy Bridge in the model picker.
- Codex / Claude Code / WORKBUDDY desktop: sync your API key and providers with one click — no need to install the extension in these tools.
FAQ
- Do I need a CDK to start? No — the Free tier bridges all three IDEs without a code. A CDK unlocks Pro (multi-provider, failover, smart routing, Codex / Claude Code / WORKBUDDY desktop sync, model radar, token optimization, etc.).
- Does it provide API tokens? No. You bring your own key (BYOK).
- How do I get a cheap key? DeepSeek and SiliconFlow offer cheap OpenAI-compatible keys (see docs).

三步上手
- 安装扩展。
- 打开左侧 API Proxy Bridge，填写
Base URL、API Key、Model。
- 在 IDE 的模型/Agent 对话框选择添加模型，开始对话；Devin 需要在右侧选择器中选择 API Proxy Bridge 后才能选择模型开始对话。
各 IDE 集成
- Kiro IDE：面板配置后，在 Kiro 模型选择器中选择即可。
- Kiro CLI 同步：公开市场版不提供证书/hosts 接管。
- Devin / Windsurf：运行
install-start-devin-acp.ps1，在 Cascade Agent Picker 选 API Proxy Bridge。
- Cursor：运行
install-start-cursor.ps1（安装 VSIX 并完成宿主配置），在模型选择器中选 API Proxy Bridge。

常见问题
- 必须买使用码才能用吗？ 不用，免费版无需使用码即可使用（Kiro / Devin/Windsurf / Cursor 三端可用）；CDK 用于解锁多中转站、故障切换、智能路由、Codex / Claude Code / WORKBUDDY 桌面同步、Token 优化等 Pro 功能。
- 插件提供 Token / API 额度吗？ 不提供，用户自带 Key（BYOK）。
