Browse a wealth of examples and documentation, and download all of the software you need to
get started with TI devices — right inside VS Code.
Requirements
TargetLink Bridge (ti-development-tools.ccstudio-targetlink) — required to open Explore
and StartHub. VS Code will prompt you to install it automatically.
CCS Project (ti-development-tools.ccstudio-project) — optional; only needed to import a
project into Code Composer Studio from StartHub. Everything else works without it.
Getting Started
Open either page from the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P / Cmd+Shift+P on macOS):
StartHub — pick a device or board and browse matching examples, or start a new project
from scratch.
Explore — browse TI's full resource library.
Both pages are also reachable from entry points inside Code Composer Studio, such as its tree
view and walkthroughs.
Reopening a page that's already open brings its existing tab into focus instead of opening a
duplicate.
Analytics
StartHub and Explore collect anonymous usage analytics (page views, searches, downloads) to
help TI improve these tools. You'll be asked for consent the first time you open either page,
and can change your answer at any time via StartHub: Change Analytics Consent in the
Command Palette.
Known limitations
Authentication: this extension opens pages in a separate browser context from your
regular browser, so a session you're already logged into there isn't shared here. If a page
doesn't load or shows a login screen, try logging in via a regular browser tab against the
same TI-REX instance first.
