TazzieDevil 2.0 — VS Code Extension (TypeScript)

Your AI operator inside VS Code. Streaming chat, agent actions (explain / refactor / fix / tests), and the full media studio — text-to-image, image-to-video, voiceover, text-to-video production and CGI renders — all

Quick start — activate TazzieDevil 2.0

  1. Get an Access Pass — pick a tier at tazzie.ai/pricing (Free to try · Starter A$19/mo · Pro A$49/mo · Team A$99/mo · Business A$249/mo).
  2. Build and install this extension — Marketplace publication is pending. From the repository root, run npm install and npm run package:vscode, then use VS Code's Extensions: Install from VSIX with the package in apps/vscode.
  3. Sign in — run TazzieDevil: Set API Key with your agk_… key from the console, or use the device sign-in flow at tazzie.ai/device.
  4. Open the console — TazzieDevil: Console (full workspace) loads the 13-section webview, including Creative Studio for universe and bible setup, saved briefs, QC, manual approval, queued renders, and authenticated master retrieval. Run TazzieDevil: Doctor to verify auth + health.
  5. CLI (optional, source build) — npm publication is pending. From the repository root, run npm install and npm run build, then node packages/cli/bin/tazzie.js and point it at ai.anchoraiguard.com.

Full funnel: Pricing → Install → Inside TazzieDevil 2.0 → Console.

against the real platform API.

Setting Default Purpose
tazziedevil.baseUrl https://ai.anchoraiguard.com platform URL (both domains supported)
tazziedevil.defaultModel (empty) model id for requests
tazziedevil.confirmEdits true diff preview + Apply/Reject before edits
tazziedevil.showTokenUsage true token usage after chat replies
tazziedevil.includeActiveFile false auto-attach active file as chat context

Architecture

src/extension.ts activation, commands, status bar, chat webview (TS)
src/api.ts REST + SSE client — same wire contract as the SDK
src/sse.ts CRLF-safe SSE parser (flushes final frame at EOF)
src/mediaApi.ts media command runners + job polling (real endpoints)
src/mediaPanel.ts / src/mediaHtml.ts Media Hub webview host + HTML
src/lib/context.ts editor snapshot + prompt renderer (pure)
src/lib/patch.ts fenced-code + unified-diff parse/apply (pure)
src/lib/stream.ts SSE event relay/reducer (pure)
src/lib/policy.ts settings + model list + permission gate (pure)
src/lib/media.ts tool catalog, blueprints, status helpers (pure)
src/lib/output.ts output channel
src/lib/preview.ts diff preview + apply (side-by-side, confirmed)
src/lib/actions.ts Explain / Refactor / Fix Errors / Add Tests

Pure modules are unit-tested at the repo root (tests/extension/, vitest). Edit safety: nothing applies without the preview gate unless confirmEdits is off; Add Tests never modifies the source file.

Package

From the repo root:

npm run build
npm run package:vscode # runs vsce in apps/vscode → tazziedevil-vscode-0.1.0.vsix

Dev: open apps/vscode as its own workspace and press F5 to launch the Extension Development Host.
