Keep an inventory of every extension you have installed in VS Code: export it to an Excel workbook, a CSV file or a plain ID list, with the details the built-in tools leave out.
Usage
Open the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P / Cmd+Shift+P).
Run Extension Inventory: Export Installed Extensions…

Built from the extension ID
Extensions installed from a .vsix file or another registry have blank Marketplace columns and On Marketplace = No.
The ID list (.txt) format has one publisher.name per line, which is what the upcoming import command will read.
Settings
extensionInventory.fetchMarketplaceData (default true): set to false to skip the Marketplace lookup and export local data only, for example when offline.
Development
pnpm install
pnpm run bundle # build dist/extension.js (what VS Code loads)
pnpm run test:export # run the exporter outside VS Code against ~/.vscode/extensions
pnpm run package # build extension-inventory-<version>.vsix
Press F5 in VS Code with this folder open to launch an Extension Development Host.
