STM32Cube for Visual Studio Code Registers View Extension

General

The st-cube-ide-registers-view extension for Visual Studio Code provides detailed peripheral register views for STM32 microcontrollers. This extension is designed to work seamlessly with STM32Cube-supported Debug Access Ports (DAPs) implementations, enhancing the debugging and development experience.

ST is rebranding and repackaging certain open-source extensions to maintain forked versions that are compatible with other ST extensions. This approach ensures that future updates can seamlessly replace these extensions without requiring end users to clean up overlapping extensions in their environments.

This extension is forked from Embedded Peripheral Inspector.

Features

  • Peripheral Register Views: Access detailed views of peripheral registers for STM32 microcontrollers, making it easier to monitor and debug hardware interactions.
  • STM32Cube Integration: Leverages STM32Cube support to provide accurate and up-to-date register information.
  • Refactored from Eclipse CDT Cloud: Originally part of the Eclipse CDT Cloud project, this functionality has been refactored into its own dedicated ST extension, adding STM32Cube awareness.
  • Enhanced Debugging: Improve your debugging workflow by having real-time access to register values and states directly within VS Code.
