Gather

Understand debugging exceptions in plain English, without copying a stack trace into another tool.

Gather captures a new error after you enable it, then explains what happened, the likely cause, supporting evidence, and the next check inside VS Code.

Use Gather

1. Open the Gather tab in the bottom panel.
2. Sign in, then choose Run with Gather or Listen only.
3. Reproduce an error in a VS Code terminal or supported Node.js or Dart/Flutter debug session.
4. Read the explanation where you are already debugging.

Gather can include filtered error output and limited nearby source context in the explanation request. It does not upload whole projects or inspect runtime variables. Review the privacy policy before enabling it on sensitive code.
