Overview

Prism for AL is our developer productivity tool for Business Central 14+ featuring solution-wide analysis and code browsing. You can read about Prism for AL on https://stati-cal.com.

This extension provides seamless navigation between Prism for AL and Visual Studio Code.

In Visual Studio Code, from any cursor position of an object in an .al or .dal file, right-click and select 'View in Prism for AL'. This will:

1. Start Prism for AL (if not already running)
2. Open the folder or workspace in Prism for AL (if not already open)
3. Navigate to the object and position closest to the cursor in Visual Studio Code

From Prism for AL, you can navigate to objects and code lines in Visual Studio Code. For objects defined in the workspace (not from an .app file), this works even without the Prism for AL Connector. For objects that come from an .app file, a .dal file is opened in Visual Studio Code.

The extension works with both licensed and unlicensed Prism for AL.
