ShardStitch — AI Tool Switcher

3:47pm. Mid-refactor. "Rate limit reached."

Your code is half-written. Your plan is in your head. ShardStitch captures your entire session — git diff, changed files, dependency graph, intent — and stitches it into the next AI tool. One hotkey. Keep building like nothing happened.

How it works

  1. Hit a rate limit in Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or Gemini
  2. Press Alt+G
  3. ShardStitch scans your project — git state, files, dependencies — and generates a continuation prompt formatted for the target tool
  4. Handover is copied to your clipboard and injected into the target tool's pickup file (AGENTS.md, GEMINI.md, .cursorrules)
  5. Open the next tool and keep building

Under 30 seconds, end to end.

Not just for switching tools

Long AI chats accumulate a huge context tree — token burn climbs, responses slow down, and eventually you hit "Service is busy" even with quota left. ShardStitch is the clean-restart button: extract a compact, structured context and start fresh in the same tool, at a fraction of the tokens.

Works after you're locked out

Sync-style tools need a living session. ShardStitch never asks the AI anything — it rebuilds your working state from what survives on disk. It works at exactly the moment you need it: when you're locked out.

Requirements

This extension connects to the ShardStitch desktop app running locally (it does the scanning and generation — 100% local, no cloud, no telemetry, no account).

Get the app at shardstitch.com — one-time purchase, lifetime license, no subscription.
