Gives every project window its own color from a palette of 11, never repeating among open windows, and remembers it. Tell your VS Code and Cursor windows apart at a glance.
Installation
Launch VS Code Quick Open (Ctrl+P), paste the following command, and press enter.
Many VS Code or Cursor windows open? Tell them apart at a glance.
Prisma gives every project its own color and paints the window with it: the command center box, the panel borders and
a line under the title bar. Colors are picked at random from a palette of 11 neon colors, never repeating among the
windows you have open, and each project remembers its color.
Automatic: open a project and it gets a color. No setup.
No duplicates: a new window avoids the colors already used by other open windows, in VS Code and Cursor alike.
Remembered: the color is saved in the project's workspace settings and comes back every time.
Two styles:line (default) colors the borders; bar paints the whole title bar, with black or white text for
legibility.
Keeps git clean: if Prisma creates .vscode/settings.json in a git repository, it adds it to .git/info/exclude
(local only, never committed). If that file is already tracked, Prisma leaves it alone.
Respects your colors: it only removes the colors it set itself.
Palette tuned for thin lines: every pair of colors is at least ΔE2000 19.6 apart, so they don't blur together at
1 px on a dark theme.
Commands
Prisma: Change Window Color: pick another random color or choose one from the palette.
Prisma: Remove Window Color.

Notes
The line style works best with VS Code's new layout (workbench.experimental.modernUI), where the title bar
border is not drawn and the panel borders take the color instead.
Title bar coloring needs the custom title bar (always on macOS, default on Windows); with
window.titleBarStyle: native only the panel borders change.
Windows without a folder open, and single-folder remote windows (WSL, SSH, containers), are not colored.
Ajustes:prismaWindow.style (line o bar) y prismaWindow.colors (tu propia paleta).
No ensucia git: si crea .vscode/settings.json en un repositorio, lo excluye solo en tu equipo
(.git/info/exclude). Si ese archivo ya está versionado, no lo toca.
