ProtectEye Hami Melon Light

A gentle bright VS Code theme inspired by hami melon tones.

It aims to stay soft, readable, and calm for long coding sessions without drifting into a cold white UI or a muddy yellow-green palette.

Highlights

  • Bright, eye-friendly background with a mellow melon-green base
  • Soft contrast instead of harsh white-on-white glare
  • Calm syntax colors with clear separation for keywords, strings, functions, and types
  • Matching editor, sidebar, panel, and tab backgrounds for a more consistent workspace
  • Readable comments and selections that stay visible without becoming noisy

Design Notes

This theme is built around a few simple goals:

  • keep the editor bright, but not sterile
  • keep the UI fresh, but not overly green
  • keep syntax distinct, but not overly saturated
  • keep long reading sessions comfortable

The current palette leans into a soft hami melon feel:

  • editor background: warm pale melon green
  • strings: muted melon gold
  • functions: natural green
  • types: soft cyan
  • keywords: restrained lavender
