AISC Lab Programs

Every program for the AISC practical exam in one place. Find the experiment, then copy it, open it in a new file, or insert it into the file you are working on.

How it works

Click the AISC Lab icon in the Activity Bar to open the program list. Each program has three buttons:

Button What it does
Copy Copies the program to your clipboard
Insert into new file Opens the program in a new Python file
Insert into this file Inserts the program into the file you last had open, replacing any selection

You can also use Show code to preview a program, and the search box to filter by experiment number, name or topic.

Prefer more room? Run AISC Lab: Open Programs in Editor Tab from the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P) to open the same list as a normal editor tab. AISC Lab: Search and Insert Program does the same job from the keyboard.

Included programs

Part Experiments
A. Perceptron learning 1 to 4: discrete and continuous perceptron, unipolar and bipolar
B. Hebbian learning 5 to 8: binary and continuous, unipolar and bipolar
C. Search and game playing 9 to 14: DLS, DFID, Hill Climbing, A*, Minimax, Alpha-Beta
D. Fuzzy logic 15 to 21: fuzzy sets, relation composition, five defuzzification methods
E. Competitive learning 22 to 23: Winner Take All, LVQ

Input

Every program asks for its data when you run it, so you can use the exam's own numbers instead of the class example. Each program starts with a comment showing the class-example values to type in. Values are space separated, for example 1 -2 0 -1.

Requirements

VS Code 1.85 or newer. To run the programs you need Python 3 and NumPy (pip install numpy).
