Tarfase Extension

Install with the CLI one-liner (or in Cursor / VS Code). After tarfase login, the editor uses that same session — you should not need to Sign In again in each IDE.

The extension captures IDE actions and sends them to tarfase-api. Auth tokens come from the gateway. If you installed the extension by itself, run Command Palette → Tarfase: Sign In.

Captured by default: file metadata (path, language, hash), git commits/branches, terminal commands, builds, debug sessions, and agent prompts/responses. File bodies and terminal scrollback are off. Secrets are redacted. Pause from the status bar.

npm run package writes tarfase-*.vsix into ../tarfase-cli/extensions/.
