Precisely for VS Code
Bring Precisely Data Integration Suite projects into VS Code. Author DSL and Mainframe
Replication files, work with your Suite projects and catalog, and monitor project health without
leaving your editor.
What You Can Do
- Author DSL files with syntax highlighting, completion, hover help, navigation, rename,
snippets, formatting, and real-time validation for
.dis.yaml files.
- Work with Mainframe Replication by editing
.sqd and .rpl files with language-aware
assistance, then pulling, pushing, refreshing, and managing pipelines from VS Code.
- Connect to Suite workspaces across supported regions, securely save credentials, and switch
between workspaces from the status bar or Command Palette.
- Browse projects and configuration from the Precisely activity bar, including catalog
datasources, connections, schemas, tables, and columns.
- Synchronize DSL projects with pull, push, staging, revision history, diffs, restore, and
guided conflict resolution.
- Create and convert projects by starting Mainframe or Advanced Replication projects locally,
or converting eligible Continuous Replication projects to Advanced Replication.
- Monitor project health with pipeline, table, and file statistics, then refresh data on
demand.
- Import Connect CDC XML into DISDSL files for continued authoring in VS Code.

Get Started
- Install Precisely from the VS Code Marketplace.
- Select the Precisely icon in the Activity Bar.
- Run Precisely: Add Workspace and select your Suite region.
- Enter your Access Key ID and Secret Key, then select Connect.
- Open or create a
.dis.yaml, .sqd, or .rpl file, or browse projects from Data
Integration.
ℹ️ Note: You need credentials for a Precisely Data Integration Suite workspace. The
extension stores credentials in VS Code SecretStorage and refreshes session tokens automatically.
Everyday Workflows
Author and Validate
Open a supported file to activate language features. Use Format Document to format DSL files
and fix broken indentation, and use the project context menu to run syntax or full-project
validation before you push changes.
Pull, Edit, and Push
Pull a DSL or Mainframe project to a local folder, edit it in VS Code, and push changes from the
Data Integration or DI Sync view. The extension detects remote changes and guides you
through conflict resolution when needed.
Explore Your Catalog
Open Configuration in the Precisely Activity Bar to browse agents, datasources, connections,
schemas, and tables. Copy a resource's full path or drag a dataset into a supported editor.
