Quick Start
- Install PostQode from the VS Code Marketplace or Open VSX Registry. Search for "PostQode" in the Extensions tab (Ctrl+Shift+X) inside VS Code.
- Connect your AI provider - In settings, add your Anthropic, OpenAI, or other LLM key. Full control over privacy and cost.
- Run your first task - Right-click a code file or API spec, select a PostQode action, and watch the agent work.
Plan & Agent Modes
- Plan mode - Design implementation strategies before writing code. The AI analyzes your codebase and proposes step-by-step plans you can review and approve.
- Agent mode - Autonomous AI agents that execute multi-step tasks: reading files, running commands, editing code, and iterating until the job is done.
- AI chat - Conversational interface with full project context and file references across 40+ LLM providers.
Skills & Custom Agents
- Built-in skills - Pre-built workflows for common tasks like shipping, QA testing, code review, debugging, and more.
- Custom skills - Build your own skills and agents tailored to your project's specific workflows and conventions.
- MCP integrations - Connect to external tools and services through the Model Context Protocol for live context in every conversation.
API Test Agent
- Import & generate - Import API collections and documentation to instantly generate tests covering happy paths, negative cases, edge cases, and field validations.
- Complex scenarios - Select multiple endpoints to build and automate multi-step API workflows with setup/teardown hooks.
- Security & performance - Generate tests for SQL injection, XSS, and other vulnerability checks. Assert and compare API response times across builds.
Web Test Agent
- Navigate & discover - Provide an app URL and navigation steps. The agent navigates, fills forms, and discovers defects in user flows.
- Framework-aware output - Generates automation code for Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium using your project's page objects, locator strategies, and helper utilities.
- Code refinement - Analyze existing test code and suggest improvements, apply fixes, and generate synthetic test data.
Unit Test Agent
- Context-aware generation - Analyze source files including logic and dependencies to generate meaningful unit tests.
- Impact & gap analysis - Auto-generate tests for code changes between versions. Identify and fill coverage gaps.
- Defect-driven remediation - Connect to Jira to analyze defects, recommend fixes, implement them, and generate regression tests.
Mobile Agent
- Cross-platform automation - Automate Android and iOS app testing using natural language instructions.
- Device & Simulator support - Run tests on real devices or simulators.
- Framework-aware generation - Generate Appium-based automation scripts tailored to your project.
Core Agent
- Test case generation from artifacts - Requirements documents, user stories, specification docs, all converted to structured test cases.
- Custom formats - Generate test cases matching your existing templates and conventions.
- Business rule validation - Create validation steps based on explicit business logic and domain-specific requirements.
- Test data generation - Produce comprehensive test data for edge cases and real-world conditions.
- Script generation - Automation scripts compliant with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Rest Assured, xUnit, and more.
