The URL Checker extension for Visual Studio Code is designed to check and validate URLs in HTML and Markdown files. It checks for both working and broken links, highlighting them directly in the editor. This extension is specifically designed for an internal TechComms setup and is not intended for general use.
Limitation
This extension is intended for internal use within TechComms and is not meant for general public release. It will only work with a specific project folder structure.

Installation
Open Visual Studio Code.
Navigate to the Extensions view (Ctrl+Shift+X).
Search for Link checker - HTML & Markdown.
Click Install.
Usage
Open a Markdown or HTML file in VSCode.
Use the command palette (Ctrl+Shift+P) and search for Check URLs.
The extension will start checking the URLs in the file.
URLs will be highlighted with a blue curly line if the URL is working, and red if the URL is broken.
You can also view URL validation results in the Problems tab.
Working URLs will be marked with a green check, and broken URLs will be marked with a red "X".
