PerSQL for VS Code

Connects VS Code to PerSQL — SQLite databases on the edge. The extension registers the PerSQL MCP server, so Copilot Chat and other MCP-aware agents can query your databases, inspect schemas, manage branches, and run migrations directly from the editor.

Setup

1. Install the extension.
2. Run PerSQL: Set API Token from the Command Palette and paste an API token (psql_live_…) from the PerSQL console.
3. Open Copilot Chat — the PerSQL tools (query, describe_database, claim_branch, and more) are available to the agent.

What the agent can do

The MCP server exposes the full PerSQL toolset: SQL queries and batches, schema inspection and docs, schema-only branches for safe experiments, propose/apply mutation pre-flights, snapshots, saved queries, migrations, and natural-language ask.
