Open Terminals

A VS Code extension that silently reads a configuration file and opens multiple terminals in the editor area in sequence.

Perfect for managing multiple Claude Code sessions — define all your Claude instances once in a config file, then open them all with a single shortcut.

Place open-terminals.yml in your workspace root.

Example: Managing Multiple Claude Sessions

A common use case is launching multiple Claude Code instances across different projects simultaneously:

Usage

Open terminals

1. Create open-terminals.yml in your workspace root (see Configuration above)
2. Use any of the following:
   • Press Ctrl+Alt+T
   • Open Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+P) → type Open Terminals - Open

All configured terminals will open in the editor area (not the bottom panel).

Close terminals

• Press Ctrl+Alt+W
• Or Command Palette → Open Terminals - Close All

Only terminals opened by this extension are closed — your manually opened terminals are untouched.

No config file?

If open-terminals.yml is not found, a single blank terminal opens in the editor area.

• 只关闭插件自己打开的终端，不影响用户手动开启的终端

使用方法

打开终端：

1. 在工作区根目录创建 open-terminals.yml（参考上方配置示例）
2. 任选以下方式：
   • 按下快捷键 Ctrl+Alt+T
   • 打开命令面板（Ctrl+Shift+P），输入 Open Terminals - Open

所有配置的终端将在编辑区（非底部面板）依次打开。

关闭终端：

• 按下快捷键 Ctrl+Alt+W
• 或命令面板 → Open Terminals - Close All

只会关闭插件自己打开的终端，手动打开的终端不受影响。

没有配置文件时：

若找不到 open-terminals.yml，插件会自动在编辑区打开一个空终端。
