Ourcelium is a plug-and-play AI coding assistant. Sign in once and start coding: no API keys to manage, no provider accounts, no configuration files. You get a capable open model in your editor at a fraction of the cost of closed-source assistants.

Why Ourcelium?

Most ways of coding with open models are bring-your-own-API: sign up with a provider, generate a key, paste it into a config, pick a model, tune the settings. Ourcelium removes all of that. Click Sign in, authenticate in your browser, and you're coding — the free tier doesn't even ask for a credit card.

Our vision

Today, AI coding runs almost entirely on closed models in hyperscale data centers. We think there should be a serious alternative: open models, transparent pricing, and — over time — an open network of independent compute providers rather than a single centralized operator. Ourcelium starts simple, with one excellent open model that anyone can use in seconds, and grows from there: more models, smarter routing, and a progressively more open infrastructure underneath.

Using Ourcelium today is the most direct way to support that direction.

Getting started

1. Install the extension
2. Open the Ourcelium sidebar and click Sign in
3. Authenticate in your browser — you'll be dropped right back into your editor
4. Start coding
